Togetherness

This function is about the feeling of belonging and the flow of togetherness. It is the wellness twin to the coordination or integration role traditionally occipied by the theatrical Director.

One of the more unorthodox aspects of the Hitchhikers Academy is fostering **genuine collaboration** among fiercely independent individuals. - **Co-Working and Peer Collaboration**: Unlike standard company teams, hitchhikers are ‘mountain men’—autonomous, often egocentric, self-directed explorers. Now they are challenged to work within diverse, sometimes conflicting groups. - **Conflict navigation, consensus tools, and capacity-building**: The Towel Team brings expertise in remote, decentralised team dynamics, helping groups develop effective communication, manage disagreements, and harness collective intelligence. - **Supporting Community-Building**: By offering practical advice, digital tools, and mentoring, the Towel Team strengthens bonds both within small fellow groups and the wider Academy community.

This role involves both the ability to communicate, motivate, heal and manage Hitchhiker's and Reseearch Fellows, as well as helping to bring them into more of a team alignment than they feel naturally comfortable with.

This role requires a deep understanding of the future of work.
